Kindergarten News
                February 25-March 3
As you all know NEXT WEEK March 3-7 is S.E.P. Week.  School will be out at 10:55 for A.M. Kindergarten and 2:30 for Extended Day Kindergarten all week long. Please make arrangements for your child’s pick -up!  Busses will be running at these times!!        (Make sure someone is at home!!)
Things to Know.....
·         TOMORROW is EARLY- OUT, CLASS TIME 8:55 to 10:55!!
·        March Book Orders are attached if you are interested in ordering this month!!  I will be sending the order off next WEDNESDAY, March 5th.  Please get your order in online or send your check to school by then!

·        February Calendars are due Friday and March Calendars are attached!!

If you still wanted one and have not yet ordered,

Kindergarten News
                   February 11-25
Things to Know.....
·        TOMORROW is EARLY- OUT,  
                              CLASS TIME 8:55 to 10:55!!
·        February Book Orders will be sent TOMORROW!!
·        We are starting the ABC Club, Sight Word Club and Numbers Club. In order for your child to join the club they need to be able to pass the skills in that area of the Kindergarten Assessment!    
o   ABC CLUB-  Recognize and write upper and lower case and know all the letter sounds.  (no reversals)
o   Sight Word CLUB-   Pass off 25 of the Kindergarten Sight Words.
o   Numbers CLUB-  Recognize and write numbers 1-30 and count to 50!
  When your child is able to do ALL of these they will be allowed to join the club and receive a prize from me!!! :) 
Duel Immersion meeting Thursday, February 13th  @ 5;30,  if you have questions this is the meeting to come too!!
·        Presidents Day   February 17th NO SCHOOL!

HOMEWORK
Please remember the SIGHT WORDS list that was sent home!!   Words to learn are:  the, a to, it, of, and, in, is, I, and you.  Some notes are coming back signed that your child is ready to pass off the List #1 and the child is not ready to pass off the list, I will be sending them home again for you to practice more.  Some of you are already on list 3 and 4 WOW!!   WAY TO GO!!   If you are starting on a new list PLEASE DON”T FORGET THE LISTS BEFORE!  We need to be able to know ALL of the words!!   Each child will need to be able to read at least 25 sight words by the end of the year!    Your child’s success will depend on some extra help from home!!!
REMEMBER Friday is Valentines Day!  (THIS weeks HOMEWORK!) Your child will need to make a Valentine for each child in our class.  A class list is printed on the back so you will not miss anyone.  Please write “who” the Valentines is TO and “who” it is FROM!  Writing is so important and this is a meaningful task! (real life)

We are just finishing up or Mid Year Kindergarten Assessment!! I’m so proud of the progress we are making!!  Your children are WONDERFUL!!
