Kindergarten News
September 6-13
                 Well we are off to a great start!!  Today we chased the Gingerbread Man around the school to learn where places are at East Elementary.  We also are learning the rules of school and procedures to get things done.
            This week we are going to begin our study of the alphabet.  We will begin by talking about the letters “A” and “L”!  Learning what they look like and how to write both the upper case and the lower case, and learning about the sounds they make.
           
THINGS TO KNOW
*     Tomorrow is EARLY - OUT Wednesday  
   Class time 8:55 until 10:55!

*    I have put in the homework folder your very first KINDERGARTEN SKILLS SHEET and READING RECORD.  These two homework assignments are due when complete or at the end of the month.  Please sign and return.

*  I have also attached the very first BOOK ORDER.  Please send your check or money order made out to SCHOLASTIC by next Wednesday, September 12th  (NO CASH PLEASE)!!!!!

Or if you chooses the instructions for online orders are in the homework folder!


*            SCHOOL PICTURES will be Monday, September 10th
     All children will need their picture taken for the class picture even if you choose not to purchase a packet!

HOMEWORK
      This weeks homework is attached.   We will be practicing how to write the letter “A”  and the numeral one  (1).  Please make sure that your child starts at the top when forming the letters  and numbers. 
             Sign and return to school on or before Friday!!!
