January 22-29
We are working hard
to complete Mid – Term Kindergarten Assessment!!! Remember lost of sleep and a
healthy breakfast is the easiest things a mom and dad can do to help! But also, brush up on Letter
Names, Writing both upper case and lower case letters ( if they are backwards, I will mark them wrong:( ) and practice sounds. For numbers, recognize and write
0-20! Work on 10 sight words and
Rhyming words!! Also, LAST
NAMES!!! So far they are doing
really well!

REMEMBER>>>>Thursday, January 24th, will be our annual Kindergarten Lunch And Learn!! Thanks to all of you who remembered to RSVP!!

* I have never done this before, but I'm so excited to try it!! We
are making class shirts!! The sample and order form were in your child's
homework folder last week. You are under no obligation to buy! Just for fun!!
We will wear them on field trips and on Fridays!! The cost is very
reasonable, $7.00!! Our shirts will be Lime Green with Navy print.
Please make checks to East Elementary. And all shirt money will be due,
January 30th!! Right now I don't have enough shirts to make a complete order!! Please get your money to me if your interested!!

We are required to let parents know that open enrollment
forms are available to parents in the office. They are due by the 3rd
Friday in February for those that would like.

HOMEWORK
I have put the
letter writing homework for this week in your child's homework folder.
And please remember the SIGHT WORDS list that was sent home last week!! Words to learn
are: the, a, to, it, of, and, in, is, I, and you. Also, we are in
need of a little practice on rhyming words. Please help your child practice words that rhyme!!!! Love, Mrs. Lee
