Kindergarten News

             January 29- February 5

We will be finished with Mid – Term Kindergarten Assessment this week!!! Remember lots of sleep and a healthy breakfast is the easiest things a mom and dad can do to help!   But also, brush up on Letter Names, Writing both upper case and lower case letters, and practice sounds.  For numbers, recognize and write 0-20!  Work on 10 sight words and Rhyming words!!  Also, LAST NAMES!!!  Everyone is doing really well! 

  

Things to Know.....

·        TOMORROW is EARLY- OUT,

o  CLASS TIME 8:55 to 10:55!!!

·        January Book orders will be a little late!! 

                              Sorry a few parents asked for a few extra days!

·      Thursday, February 21st will be our annual Curriculum Open House from 6-7!! Please take a minute to come in and see what we are working on in class.             Mark your calendars.        See you there!!!

·   *     We are making class shirts!!  You are under no obligation to buy!   Just for fun!!  We will wear them on field trips and on Fridays!!  The cost is very reasonable, $7.00!!  Our shirts will be Lime Green with Navy print.  Please make checks to East Elementary.  And all shirt money will be due, January 30th!!   Please get your money to me if your interested,  this will be a one time thing, I will not be able to order more at a later date!!

HOMEWORK

I have put the letter writing for homework this week in your child's homework folder.  And please remember the SIGHT WORDS list that was sent home!!   Words to learn are:  the, a, to, it, of, and, in, is, I, and you.
