Kindergarten News

                February 6-12

We will be doing a Lockdown Drill tomorrow;  Thursday, February 7th.  If you see police cars at our school please don't be alarmed.  We are OK!!  Thanks for your support!

Things to Know.....

·        TOMORROW is EARLY- OUT,  

                              CLASS TIME 8:55 to 10:55!!!

*    Class shirts are ordered, 

  I let you know when they will be here as soon as I know!! :) 

·        February Book Orders are in your homework folder or you may go online to order. 

         I will send in the book order on FEBRUARY 13^th.

·        Please send in your January calendars As Soon As Possible!!! 

                        §  February calendars are in your child's folder!!

·        Duel Immersion meeting Wednesday, February 13th @ 5:30,  if you have questions this is the meeting to come too!!

·        Presidents Day   February ^18th NO SCHOOL!

HOMEWORK

Tuesday homework came home in your child's homework folder, please work on learning BIRTHDAY, ADDRESS and PHONE NUMBER!!  This personal information is so important for your child to know.  I'm sure you understand that it is impossible for me to individualize this instruction, therefore I am counting on you to help learn this information!!! 

Don't FORGET the 100 homework that was sent home today!!  This should an exciting day!!

Please remember the SIGHT WORDS list that was sent home!!   Words to learn are:  the, a to, it, of, and, in, is, I, and you.  Some notes are coming back signed that your child is ready to pass off the List #1 and the child is not ready to pass off the list, I will be sending them home again for you to practice more.  Some of you are already on list 3 and 4 WOW!!   WAY TO GO!!   If you are starting on a new list PLEASE DON”T FORGET THE LISTS BEFORE!  We need to be able to know ALL of the words!!   Each child will need to be able to read at least 25 sight words by the end of the year!    Your child’s success will depend on some extra help from home!!!

Last, next Thursday is Valentines Day!  Your child will need to make a Valentine for each child in our class.   Please write “who” the Valentines is TO and “who” it is FROM!  Writing is so important and this is a meaningful task! (real life)  Classlist below!!!!------->
